Area Regeneration
We joined forces with 2md to work on area action plans for
Bristol East Side Traders. With them, we have developed a
holistic approach to sustaining and improving neighbourhood
shopping areas.
Our approach is to base recommendations on a sound analysis
of of environmental quality, business sustainability, local
perceptions, policy framework and future trends.
On a 230 house mixed tenure estate in West Bromwich, we led
an estate improvement project whose success went beyond housing
and landscape improvements to include community arts training
and employment projects, release of a house for community
use and development of a tenants and residents association.
We worked closely with local agencies and other consultants
to deliver the project outcomes.
Working for a partnership of local agencies, we developed
an innovative project to develop training, environmental improvements
and the development of a social enterprise in inner city Bristol.
Growing Together is aimed specifically at people
from black and minority ethnic groups, who are traditionally
under represented in the horticultural industry.
