Parks & Play Areas
This state-of the art adventure play park was opened on August
17th 2002 at Hengrove Park in the south of Bristol. It is
one of the most exciting play parks built in England in recent
years, and it's completely free! It has recently been singled
out for praise by the Bristol Civic Society for its contribution
to city life.
The £1.4m four acre play park is funded by Bristol City Council and includes facilities for all ages from toddlers to teenagers.
The play park features:
- A 12 metre high dome housing a jungle play experience
- Sand and water play for younger children
- A large wheels park for skateboarders, in-line skaters and BMX riders
- Distinct zones with the latest challenging activity equipment
- Large central grassed space for children to run around in
- Café and toilets
- Plenty of seating
